Wild Horse Nine COMING SOON

Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are sent from Santiago to the remote beauty of Easter Island by their bureau chief MJ (Steve Buscemi). Surrounded by the island’s famous statues, the longtime partners find themselves wrestling with old secrets, present-day conspiracies and the uncomfortable question of whether they can still trust one another. Chris’s unexpected friendship with two rebellious students threatens to complicate matters even further.

Expect razor-sharp dialogue, black comedy and mounting paranoia, all played out against one of the most extraordinary settings imaginable. Early reviews have particularly praised the combination of humour and tension, with Flickering Myth describing the film as“another very funny, tense offering from Martin McDonagh.”

Critical Response

Following its appearance at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival, Wild Horse Nine has attracted particular attention for John Malkovich’s performance. Flickering Myth called him an early awards contender, praising a performance that moves between comedy and something altogether more poignant.

For fans of In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin, this looks like vintage Martin McDonagh: wickedly funny, beautifully acted and just a little dangerous.

From Stage Phenomenon to Feature Film

The original Prima Facie became an international theatrical success, with Jodie Comer winning both Olivier and Tony Awards for her performance as Tessa. The new film is a separate screen adaptation, with Cynthia Erivo taking the role and Suzie Miller adapting her own play for cinema.

The film received its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 13 September 2026 ahead of its UK cinema release on 13 November 2026.

Reclusive, formidable and not remotely interested in pleasing anyone, Patricia Highsmith is living in Switzerland when a mysterious young man arrives from her New York publishing house. As the pair circle one another, fiction and reality begin to blur and their encounter turns into an intricate psychological game of manipulation, secrets and shifting identities. Helen Mirren appears to be having enormous fun as the fiercely caustic Highsmith, while Alden Ehrenreich proves a suitably enigmatic opponent.

Darkly funny, atmospheric and full of twists, A Talent for Murder has the flavour of a classic literary mystery with a decidedly wicked streak.

I Play Rocky COMING SOON

I Play Rocky tells the remarkable story behind one of the most famous films ever made: how a virtually unknown, struggling actor called Sylvester Stallone wrote Rocky, refused to sell it unless he could play the leading role himself, and bet everything on the belief that he was the only man who could be Rocky Balboa.

Anthony Ippolito stars as the young Stallone, an actor accustomed to hearing the word “no” but absolutely convinced that this one script could change his life. Hollywood wants his story, but Stallone wants something more: the chance to star in it. What follows is an irresistible real-life underdog tale about ambition, determination and an extraordinary refusal to give up.

Directed by Peter Farrelly, the Oscar-winning director of Green Book, the film takes us behind the scenes of the making of the original Rocky, with Stephan James portraying Carl Weathers, Jay Duplass as director John G.
