'Stitchety' Textiles Class

Taught by Kate, ’Stitchety’ Textiles Classes are your entrance into wonderful world of sewing and yarn based crafts. Kate will have all of the tools and materials to start you off, or improve your skills in patchwork, crochet and knitting. She can’t wait to share her passion for these techniques with you.
The classes will dive deep into the possibilities of stitch in all of its forms, with help and inspiration throughout. Kate will have a series of mini-projects for you but there will also be the space to lean into your individual creativity and work on your own mindful projects, with Kate’s full support and encouragement.
A bit about Kate – Originally from London, she moved to Lichfield in 2009 She has a background in both fine art and crafts, originally graduating from the Royal College of Arts in Ceramics. Kate has run arts workshops at The New Art Gallery Walsall for over 15 years and after setting up ’Stitchety’ in 2024 her love for textiles is now taking centre stage, with some tentative new sculptural work and finding joy in introducing others to the mindful creativity of stitch.
