Teaching can be a thankless job. In Bad Apples, one teacher discovers just how far frustration can push a person.
Saoirse Ronan stars as Maria, a dedicated primary school teacher struggling to cope with a deeply disruptive pupil whose behaviour is affecting everyone around him. As pressure mounts from parents, colleagues and the school itself, Maria makes a series of increasingly questionable decisions that spiral into a darkly comic and wildly unpredictable predicament.
Part black comedy, part thriller and part social satire, Bad Apples takes a provocative look at the pressures facing modern education while asking some very uncomfortable questions about responsibility, morality and how far anyone might go when pushed to their limits.
