Join us for the reading group at the Red Carpet Cinema exploring both classic and modern literature. The classes are run by Sarah, an experienced teacher of English and the Red Carpet Creative Writing tutor, who will guide you through the texts in a fun and informative way.  Every half term, we will focus on a different text, culminating in a screening of a film adaptation. This term we will be reading Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman and The Collected Poems of T. S. Eliot.

You will need a copy of both books, a pen and a notepad.  For the Eliot, there is a collection published by Faber & Faber, but any collection is fine provided it includes the following poems: ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’, ‘Portrait of a Lady’, ‘Preludes’, ‘The Waste Land’ and ‘The Journey of the Magi’.

Sarah has a Master's Degree in English Language and has had several non-fiction works published. She has been teaching and tutoring English Language and Literature for over twenty years, including eight years’ teaching creative writing.  She is looking forward to running a fun, supportive, interesting group where everyone can join in no matter how nervous you may feel about your abilities.
